The 93rd Academy Awards are coming up this Sunday and my friends at Piper-Heidsieck have put together a Cuvée Brut and Cuddles Red Carpet Experience Box so you can watch the Oscars in true Hollywood style. I’m delighted to be hosting an Oscars pre-party and helping you #PopSomePiper at 4:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, April 25th. I’ll be providing a step-by-step walkthrough on how to make this fabulous French 76 cocktail in my Instagram Story.

Piper-Heidsieck is the most awarded Champagne house in the world and recently named the Best Champagne of the World by this year’s world wine and spirits competition. From the Maison’s original brand ambassadors Marie Antoinette and Marilyn Monroe, Piper-Heidsieck has been part of many red carpet moments. The partner of the Oscars and Cannes International Film Festival, Piper-Heidsieck wants you to create and celebrate your own red-carpet moments, no matter the occasion.
Now, you can host your own at-home red carpet soirée with the Champagne of the red carpet! Order your limited edition Cuvée Brut and Cuddles Red Carpet Experience Box by April 22nd and get ready to toast to your own red-carpet moments with Piper-Heidsieck Champagne. Get one for yourself, gift one to someone else and join us online on April 25th to learn to make a red-carpet-worthy cocktail to kick off this year’s Academy Awards.
What you’ll get in your Cuvée Brut and Cuddles Experience Box
Be sure to pick up a bottle of Piper-Heidsieck Champagne (currently $5 off at the LCBO) and Ciroc vodka, along with a lemon and prep some simple syrup, so you have all the ingredients on hand to shake up the French 76 with me.
I honestly couldn’t tell you what most of the nominated films are this year but I look forward to adding all the nominees to my watchlist after seeing all the teasers throughout the show. In precedented times, I’m pretty adamant about seeing as many of the best picture nominees, preferably in theatre, before the awards show.
Most of the 2021 awards shows to date have been a bizarre hybrid of limited in-person attendance by front-line workers, first responders and celebrities, accompanied by Zoom acceptance speeches from winners wearing everything from custom couture to dishevelled hoodies (ahem: Jason Sudeikis). The Oscars however, have retained the formidable talents of producer/director Steven Soderbergh to shake up the entire format. Soderbergh has promised that the 93rd Academy Awards will feel like a movie.
It’s about time someone shook up the awards show mix, pandemic or not. I can’t wait to see what he has planned with a glass of this French 76 in hand. If you’re thinking this drink name sounds familiar, that’s because it’s a subtle riff on the classic French 75 – Ciroc vodka is used in place of gin.
I look forward to popping some Piper with you on Sunday – order your Cuvée Brut and Cuddles Red Carpet Experience Box here by April 22nd, grab a bottle of Piper-Heidsieck Champagne, Ciroc Vodka, and tune in to my Instagram Story on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. ET!
