2022 Let’s Get Blitzen: Cocktail Advent Calendar – Day 8 – Citrus Garland. A split-base cocktail made with equal parts mezcal and Cointreau results in bright, smoky sipper that is as refreshing as it is unusual.
This post is sponsored by Cointreau.
This shaken sour drink is both citrusy and smoky. The honey rosemary ginger syrup brings subtle sweetness and a depth of flavour that rounds out the flavour profile of this little tipple.
It was so much being able to work with HOWARD jewellers and be styled in stunning yellow diamonds to make my creative vision come to life. Here are two of the pieces I’m wearing in these photos:
While most of the content in the Let’s Get Blitzen: Cocktail Advent Calendar is sponsored by international wine and spirits brands, I wanted to find a way to incorporate local business in the content. The collaboration with HOWARD was a fantastic opportunity to do just that.
To that end, we’ve teamed up to host a giveaway over on my Instagram account that launches today!
Head to the Instagram post for this Citrus Garland Cocktail to win a Spa Day For Your Ring! This includes a free check, clean, polish and rhodium plating of your ring. The winner will also receive HOWARD’s best-selling Foaming Cleaner to take home for easy at-home cleaning. A great prize for anyone who wants to keep their diamonds sparkly clean.
The above image was inspired by a vintage jewellery ad for Trifari that I stumbled across on Pinterest. The darker backdrop than the inspiration photo yields a result that is more like Lady Justice meets Daredevil.
I’m quite happy with how it turned out even though the tone and mood is drastically different from the inspiration image. It was fun and, at times, frustrating figuring out how to execute the more editorial photography I wanted to have in this year’s edition of the calendar.
Join me on my Instagram Stories tonight at 5 p.m. as I shake up this Citrus Garland Cocktail!
