2021 Let’s Get Blitzen: Cocktail Advent Calendar – Day 6 – Almond Biscotti Martini. I want you to know that my mom has never been prouder of me than she is today.
Trudy’s all-time favourite liqueur is Disaronno Amaretto, I remember her sipping Disaronno on the rocks on Christmas Eve, and look at me, her only daughter, whipping up a cocktail with the newest product from Disaronno for the holidays. (P.S. don’t worry mom, I have a feeling Santa will be good to you this year).
This post is sponsored by Disaronno.
Disaronno Velvet was released earlier this year and features the distinctive taste of the most popular Italian liqueur in the world takes on unexpected nuances in this new cream liqueur format.
Incredibly smooth, Disaronno Velvet beautifully combines the traditional aromas and flavours of almonds, Madagascar vanilla beans and caramelized sugar, that you’ve come to know and love from Disaronno Amaretto with the addition of fresh cream. It’s complex and velvety on the palate with a long finish.
It’s delicious on its own enjoyed over ice, a great way to experience its unique and fresh taste. Disaronno Velvet is also a great choice for easy-sipping thanks to its low alcohol content (ABV 17%).
This Almond Biscotti Martini celebrates the classic pairing of espresso and almond biscotti in a fresh spirited spin. It’s all about adding complexity to the standard espresso martini format. In case you’ve been living under a rock, espresso martinis have made a MAJOR comeback over the past 18 months. It’s a tasty drink but I felt pretty confident I could improve upon it with the addition of Disaronno Velvet and a splash of nutmeg syrup.
The top note of almond and background players of vanilla and caramel in the Disaronno Velvet bring very delectable nuance to the combination of vodka, Tia Maria Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur, espresso, and nutmeg syrup.
All I can say is that I *know* my mom is going to love this one.
Be sure to tune into my Instagram stories tonight at 5 pm for a step-by-step tutorial on how to shake up this delicious cocktail!
