Sleighbell Salty Dog

Sleighbells on, salt rim ready. Chopin Potato Vodka is family-crafted in Poland and gives this clementine Salty Dog a full-bodied, subtly sweet backbone for bright, spicy citrus.

Ingredients

  • oz Chopin Potato Vodka
  • 1 oz clementine juice
  • ½ oz spicy clementine cordial
  • ¼ oz Cointreau
  • ¼ oz lime juice
  • 2 oz Fever-Tree Club Soda
  • Garnish: salt rim
  • Garnish: rosemary sprig

Spicy Clementine Cordial

  • 8 limes peeled and juiced approx. 4 oz lime juice
  • 4 clementines peeled and juiced approx. 4 oz clementine juice
  • 2- inch piece of fresh ginger peeled and chopped
  • 6 cracked cardamom pods
  • 1 Thai chili diced
  • cups granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Run a lime wedge around the rim of a highball glass, then dip the edge into coarse salt.
  2. Add all ingredients to a shaker, excluding club soda, with ice and shake until well-chilled.
  3. Strain into rimmed highball glass over fresh ice.
  4. Top with club soda and stir briefly.
  5. Garnish with a sprig of fresh rosemary.

Spicy Clementine Cordial

  1. Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan (including all citrus peels) over medium heat. Bring to a low boil, stirring frequently.
  2. Reduce heat to medium low and let simmer for 15-20 minutes until syrup is slightly thickened.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
  4. Remove solids and fine-strain into an airtight container. Store in the fridge for up to 3 weeks
