Mistletoe Spritz
This Mistletoe Spritz is proof that you can have a refreshing red wine spritz alongside your turkey dinner.

lemon juice

gingerbread syrup

Garnish: pear fan

Gingerbread Syrup

dark brown sugar

cup
water

tbsp
fancy molasses

tbsp
fresh ginger
thinly sliced

whole allspice berries

whole black peppercorns

whole cloves

cinnamon stick

Add all ingredients to a shaker, excluding club soda, with ice and short shake.

Strain into a rocks glass or stemless wine glass over one large ice cube.

Garnish with a pear fan and freshly grated nutmeg.
Gingerbread Syrup

Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a low boil, stirring frequently.

Reduce heat to medium low and let simmer for about 20 minutes until syrup is slightly thickened.

Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.

Fine strain into an airtight container.
