Banana Boulevardier

A sweet and savoury riff on the classic Boulevardier (itself a variation of a Negroni) using banana liqueur, chocolate bitters, and a few drops of sesame oil for garnish.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz Rittenhouse Rye
  • 1 oz Campari
  • 3/4 oz Fot-Li Vermut (or other Spanish sweet vermouth)
  • 1/4 oz banana liqueur (preferably Giffard Banane du BrĂ©sil)
  • 3 dashes chocolate bitters
  • 3 drops sesame oil for garnish
  • 1 banana chip for garnish

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a mixing glass and stir over ice until well-chilled.

  2. Strain into a chilled coupe glass.

  3. Add 3 drops of sesame oil to surface of the drink. Float a banana chip on top.
