Strawberry Basil Crostini

  • ½ baguette sliced ½ inch thick, 12-16 slices
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 70 g goat cheese 2.5 oz
  • 1 lb strawberries thinly sliced
  • 3 tbsp fresh basil finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp aged balsamic vinegar


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Arrange baguette slices on a large rimmed baking sheet; brush both sides with oil, and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Bake, turning crostini over halfway through, until golden, 6 minutes. Let cool partially on baking sheets.
  3. Once crostini are cool enough to handle, smear one side of the crostini with goat cheese. Top with 2-3 slices of strawberry, sprinkle with chopped basil, and lightly drizzle with aged balsamic. Serve warm or at room temperature.
