Scout's Honour

Juicy, hoppy North Meets South Nordic Pale Ale from Whitewater Brewing Co. offers a great foundation for this whisky beer cocktail. The addition of rye, lemon juice, raspberries, and a splash of simple syrup make this a bright and refreshing patio sipper.

Ingredients

  • 4 raspberries
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • 1 oz lemon juice
  • 1 oz rye whisky
  • 4 oz Whitewater Brewing Co. North Meets South Nordic Pale Ale
  • Garnish: 3 raspberries skewered on a cocktail pick

Simple Syrup

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Muddle raspberries with simple syrup in a shaker tin.
  2. Add lemon juice and whisky. Shake over ice until well-chilled.
  3. Strain into a highball glass, top with Whitewater Brewing Co. North Meets South. Stir to combine.

  4. Garnish with 3 raspberries skewered on a cocktail pick.

Simple Syrup

  1. Add sugar and water to a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer, stirring frequently. Simmer for 5 minutes until fully combined.
  2. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature. Strain into an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
