Ingredients
½cupSt-Rémy VSOP Brandy
¼cuplemon juice
¼cuporange juice
1/3cupnutmeg syrup
8dashes Angostura bitters
1bottle Syrah
Garnish: orange twistcinnamon stick, apple slice
Nutmeg Syrup
1cupdemerara sugar
1cupwater
4whole nutmegsquartered
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in a large pitcher. Stir to combine.
Pour into stemless wine glasses over one large ice cube. Garnish each glass with an orange twist, cinnamon stick, and apple slice.
Nutmeg Syrup
Combine sugar, water, and nutmeg in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally, until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature, let sit at room temperature overnight for a more intense flavour.
Store syrup in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.
