Happy New Year! Am I still within the statute of limitations on using that greeting? I hope so. As usual, I’m giving my liver a little rest after an indulgent holiday season and participating in Dry January yet again. I know going stone cold sober for a month isn’t for everyone and I certainly have no intention of shaming you if you’re not joining in the fun.

If you were following along with the 2024 Let’s Get Blitzen: Cocktail Advent Calendar, you’ll know that Ceder’s is my preferred distilled non-alcoholic gin. The Ceder’s Classic I’ve used in this recipe boasts notes of juniper, coriander and citrus. It has a smooth palate and delicate finish. In this recipe, the Sicilian Citrus Crush complements the citrus botanicals in the Ceder’s, the lime juice brings a bit of pucker to the palate, and the Rhubarb & Elderflower Cordial rounds it out with a touch of sweetness.
I hope this post is the first of many this year. One of my goals for 2025 is to produce blog content more regularly and continue to share fresh cocktail, entertaining, and home decor content with you this year. I recently invited my Instagram followers to share what they’d like to share more of in the coming months and a surprising number of folks requested more fashion content.
I’m working at getting back into shape (and back into all my pants) after my Achilles rupture served up a major setback on my health and fitness journey. Once I’m feeling more confident in my skin and in my clothes, I’ll make my best effort to share more sartorial content with you. Now I just need to teach young Michael how to take beautiful pictures of me.

Dry January has never tasted better. Ceder's Classic is a distilled non-alcoholic spirit that brings the botanicals of gin, without the booze, to this refreshing zero-proof tipple.
Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice and shake very briefly. Ensure you have a firm grasp on your shaker tin as the Sicilian Citrus Crush is carbonated.
Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
Garnish with a lime twist.
